at rear of Winpenny

GV II

Stable with loft over, disused at time of survey (May 1984), and wall abutting. Early C19, fled sandstone random rubble;
brick dressings and infill at gable eats, slate roof. Plan: loft over stable set gable End to road above hall to rear
of Winnpennys (qv), Stable: 2 storeys, central loft opening with hoist above, ground floor openings below wooden
lintels flanking central entrance, right one undergoing restoration, central plank dour, Garage to right not included.
Wall: red sandstone random rubble forming plinth of stable and continued South East for about 25m, coping obscured by
ivy at tide of survey. The stable and wall form an important element in the street scene, about 20m South from the
entrance to the Church of St Mary (qv). Primilary listed for group value..
