2. Formerly the Congregational Church. Founded 1662 by Joseph Alleine, present buildings erected 1797. 2 storeys. Red brick, ashlar dressings. Hipped slate roof. Fluted cornice and blocking course. Band over ground floor. 1 storey extensions with entrances to left and right of front. 5 windows, fixed lights. Extensions have cornices, parapets and keystones.
