6/34 Beardley Farmhouse, and railings to front door 25.1.56 II -

Farmhouse. Early 17, with early C18 addition. Render, quoin strips, dentil cornice, slate roof, rendered stacks. 1-plan, early C18 block fronting earlier wing. 2 storeys over basement 3 bays; sashes with glazing bars. Fluted pilaster doorcase, frieze of metopes and triglyphs, pediment with dentils, unusual door with 2-fielded panels centre, 3-light glazed openings above, St. Andrews cross panel below, steps up with swept back cast iron railings with handrail. Left return elevation, red sandstone random rubble, 2 storeys, 5 bays cross casements with leaded panes, fourth bay right blocked both storeys, C20 metal casement above gabled porch with C20 glazed door outer bay right. Reputedly addition made early C18 when farm became dower house to Bathealton Court,
