Cottage. Possible C15 origins, largely rebuilt in C18. Local stone rubble, exposed timber lintels; thatch between
coped gables; brick end and intermediate chimney stacks. Single storey with attic, 4-windows random fenestration: West
end projects about 1 metre, under catslide thatch roof, East of this a C20 porch with tiled roof of same projection.
Small pane casement windows, the upper two set slightly into the thatch. Interior not seen, but roof, shared with Little
Slades (qv) to East reported to have four early roof trusses, probably jointed crucks. Attached on East side is Little
Slades (qv) with no proper division and ground floor undersailing. (VAG Reports, unpublished SRO, 1976).
