Cottage, formerly 3 separate cottages. Late Cl7. Stone, part rendered,
colourwashed; thatched roof and porch; brick chimney stacks. Through
passage plan; single-storey with attic, 5-bays. Porch off centre in
bay-3, with timber sides, protecting an early C20 Tudor style door; One
reconstructed stone mullioned window, otherwise 2-light leaded casement
windows to ground floor; above two 3-light casement windows set into the
thatch, the right being of early date with old leading. More casement
windows to rear, and one massive timber door frame of C17 with pointed
arch into which is set a C18/19 door said to have come from Shepton
Mallet prison. Several C17 features inside, the best being a fine
fireplace with wood surround in the middle room downstairs.
