House and shops. Mid C18 with later alterations. Brick, colour-washed,
pantiled roofs. L-shaped range of 2 storeys, 3 bays, with C20 2-storey
single-bay extension to right. 2 storeys, 6 bays to Southgate elevation.
Ground floor: C20 shop fronts to left with C20 corner porch with Ionic
columns. To right, a 16-pane sash with sill under cambered wedge lintel.
Elliptical arch with wrought-iron gates to C20 extension. First floor: four
16-pane sashes with sills under wedge lintels. Southgate elevation has C20
shop fronts to ground floor and 5 irregularly spaced 16-pane sashes with
sills under wedge lintels to first floor, similar 12-pane sash between left-
hand sashes. End and axial stacks, hip at junction of ranges. Includes
frontage to Southgate (Numbers 6, 8 and 10) (east side).
