Early C18 brick facade added to ancient inn which was already built by 1350.
2 storeys. 4 windows. High pitched, tiled roof has deep eaves soffit with
modillions. Brick band at 1st floor. Near-flush box frames to sash
windows replaced in C19. Some very heavy old timberwork survives in
carriageway at ground floor left.
