The Woodman Inn

Public house. Late C17 or early C18, altered and extended C20. Timber
frame. Cedar shingle cladding, part roughcast. Steeply pitched half
hipped thatched roof. Small 3 bays. 1 storey and attic. Gable end to
road has a ground floor C20 5 light small pane bow window, attic 2 light
small pane casement. Right return has a cross casement in front bay, a 2
light small pane dormer in rear bay with eyebrow thatching. Left return
is roughcast at base and towards rear with a 2 light window and an
entrance through a C20 passage addition into rear bay. Rear end 1 storey
lean-to outshut, attic 2 light casement. Central axial ridge stack with
rebuilt capping. Interior: some exposed framing, chamfered axial bearer.
1 storey C20 wings to rear and to right are not of special interest.
