Originally built ? circa 1600, altered in C18 and c19. 2 storey cottages,
plastered, with boxed wooden eaves which are supported by four broad carved
and moulded consoles, beneath a steep tiled roof with square dormers.
4 windows (ground floor, shop window), all restored; one canted bay window
on the upper floor of No 37, however, may contain or reproduce original
work (some timberwork shove beneath it, evidently the bay ran from the
ground right up into the roof). RCHM page 122; VCE page 5.
Nos 2 to 5 (consec) form a group.
