Earlier C18 dovecote (formerly belonging to Norton Old Manor House), adapted
for use as a house in 1925 by C H Hignett with a one window, 2 storey extension
added on the east side. Dovecote with hipped, tiled roof with gablets; painted
brick with plain first floor band; segmental arched 3-light casement windows
with leaded lights. Extension with rendered walls, casement windows and modern
porch on south side. (VCH Herts vol 2 p 361.)
