Barn. Early C17. Timber frame on a flint and brick sill.
Weatherboarded with a steep old red tile roof. A tall 6-bay,
double barn facing S. Original partition separates the interior
in halves, each with a gabled entrance on S in its middle bay
with jettied overhanging gable. Jowled posts linked by a high-
set wall rail. Pitching doors at rear above rail and small
winnowing door in middle bay. Queen posts support lower clasped
purlin of roof. Upper butt-purlin in each slope with strainer at
mid span in each bay. Raking wind-braces inserted later to
support lower purlin.
