House, formerly Welwyn Assembly Rooms. 1752 front (dated brick),
timberframed interior, 1765 rear wing. Red brick, steep old tile
roofs. T-plan. 2 storeys. 5-window W front has 1st floor 3/3-
pane sash windows in plain architrave surrounds and some C18
ground floor sashes. Dentilled eaves. Rear wing S elevation
(Nos 4 and 6 Orchard Road) has central blocked round-headed door
and plain corbelled brick eaves.
