House. Circa 1600 and C17 with C19 alterations. Timber-framing and
brick with tile roof. H-plan. Two storeys. Left-hand service-wing
faced with brick and of two storeys. Its windows are sashed with glazing
bars, the ground floor one tripartite. The recessed centre has two case-
ment windows on each floor, and a door at the left under an open timber
porch. The right-hand cross-wing has exposed irregular framing. On the
ground floor is a square bay window. Above is a 6-pane sash. The truss
has struts between tie-beam and collar, and V-struts above. Chimneys to
left and right, and at rear of centre. Interior: internal wall of right-
hand cross-wing has some exposed framing, with curved braces to a principal
post. A clamp pegged to this wall supports the ceiling joists of the recessed
centre, which has exposed chamfered ceiling beams.
