C16 or earlier. 3 storeys. Timber framed with modern tiled roof. North
West front has 2 gabled wings. That on left hand has close set studding,
the gables projects and has a moulded bressummer. Casement windows with
old catches and leaded panes on 2 floors. The wing stands on a stone base
with old doorway with flanking 2-light windows with chamfered stone mullions*
The right hand wing is roughcast painted to imitate timber. It stands on
a high stone base and has a large casement window on top floor with wooden
mullions and transoms. The North East front stands on an irregular stone
base. Close set timber framing above. On left hand is a gabled with large
C17 type of casement window with wooden transoms and mullions. Below is
a later stone porch. On right hand is a slightly projecting gabled wing
with small casement window in gable and large one on each floor below.
The South East front has been roughcast and a poor modern verandah added.
