House and former post office. C17, extensively altered during late C19
and C20. Square panelled timber-framing to central range and largely
renewed framing to cross-wings; painted brick infill; brick later additions
and refacing. Stone slate roof. Half-H-plan with entrance to west front;
axial stacks, one with three brick diagonal shafts. Two storeys. West front:
gable end of cross-wing to left with 3-light casement window on first floor
and 5-light former shop window to ground floor with decorative glazing.
Central range with 2-light casement window flanked by similar 3-light windows
on first floor, and similar windows flank central gabled porch with inner 4-
panelled door. Three-light window to upper and ground floor to gable end of
right cross-wing.
