C16 or earlier, but generally much altered and partly converted into club, with
modern fenestration. Faced in cement; 2 storeys. Retains stone castellated porch
having pointed arched doorway with carved panels and lintel, and weathered inscription
"Orate pro anima Clementis Abbatis". (A reference to Abbot Clement Lichfield who
died in 1546). Return side has 2 sash windows, 5 hipped dormers and modern doorway.
Cotswold stone roof.

Nos 1 to 7 (consec) and Old Grammar School form a group with Nos 16 and 17 Vine
Street.
