Cottage. Early C17 with mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed,
painted brick infill on sandstone rubble plinth, brick replacement walling,
refacing and additions, plain tiled roof, sandstone rubble chimney at left
gable end with rebuilt brick stack. Two framed bays; single storey and
attic with rear gabled dormer. Framing: three square panels from sill to
wall-plate, short straight brace to upper central panel of front elevation
and long straight brace in lower corner of right gable end; tie-beam truss
with queen struts visible in right gable end. Front elevation: single
light casement in left bay and 2-light casement in right bay; C20 lean-to
part-glazed porch to left of centre with ledged and battened door and multi-
paned windows. Attic lights in gable end. Interior not inspected. C20
extensions to rear.
