Obelisk of Mary Breillat (d.1839).
Bath stone obelisk with an inscription panel of slate. The pedestal is heavily moulded, with an inset panel of slate, the lettering on which retains some of its original gilding.
HISTORY: said to be the earliest monument in the cemetery, this is a very elegant Neoclassical obelisk occupying a prominent position on the southern slopes of Arnos Vale.
