6/16 Cuffnells Lodge

GV II

Lodge. Early C19, later extended. Yellow brick with stucco details and additions,
lead and slate roofs. Single storey, L-shaped with square plan, formal part facing
drive, behind 2 bay wing outshot to rear. Part facing drive is a single room square
building with full-height recessed panels on each side containing rubbed round-
headed opening. On front this has 6-flush-panel door under radiating fanlight, on
other sides 12-pane sash under similar. Over running all round without indenting
is modillioned cornice. Above parapet that indents and has coping. Rest of
building has 2 or 1-light casements and doors under segmental arches. Was lodge
to, now demolished, Cuffnells.
