Bath house, now yacht clubhouse. 1760 for Lord Brudenell, son of 3rd Duke
of Montagu. C20 roughcast and weatherboarded brick, thatch roof partly
supported on rustic treetrunk verandah, brick stack and C20 addition.
Single storey 2 bay building, with,to rear, C19 lower roofed addition to
one bay and C20 flat-roofed addition to other. Cottage orne style. Front
elevation has verandah right across of 4 rustic tree trunk posts with like
braces to wallplate. Under in centre pointed door of 4-panels and pointed
top-panel with Y-shaped divisions. This door now false. Each side pointed
windows of 2-lights below transom and Y-tracery above, with leaded lights
and shutters. Roof hipped with central ridge stack. Exact original use
uncertain.
