Barn, c.1600. Timber frame on a brick base, weatherboarded and part
rendered. Steeply pitched corrugated sheet roof. 5 bays. Central bay open
with flanking loft doors. Interior: close studding with midrail, arched
braces halved outside studs in end walls, jowled posts with cranked arched
braces, largely replaced by knees to tie beams, double butt purlin roof with
upper arched windbraces, cambered collars to principals. Nos 1 and 2 Stanwell
Farm are not listable.
