- Priory Farm Cottages

GV II

House, now 3 dwellings. C17. Timber frame, plastered. Pantiled roofs. An L
on plan: 4 cell front range with 1 cell return to right which is extended to
rear by a 2 bay kitchen range. 2 storeys, 1 storey and attic to rear. To
front: 2 doors, boarded to centre, half glazed to left, 3 by 3 light C19 part
opening metal frame casements, ground floor hoodboards. Rebuilt ridge stack
to left of centre. Left end added external stack. Hip to right return with a
boarded door and similar casements. At junction with lower range is a large
early red brick stack, multiform with tiled offsets. Lower range has a gabled
dormer and later outshuts. Lean-to outshut added to rear of main range.
Interior: frame largely concealed, axial and cross axial stop chamfered
binding beams.
