House. Probably C16 core with later alteration; C19 work to right, with mid
C20 work behind. Left section is timber framed and plastered under a thatched
roof. Section to right mainly in rendered brick but incorporating part of the
older range; pantiled roof. 1 1/2 storeys to left, 2 storeys to right. Older
part has 2 C19 3-light casement windows and one 4-light eyebrow dormer. Mid
C20 glazed door and simple gabled porch. To right, one bay of inset sash
windows with glazing bars. Internal stack in old range; C19 gable stack to
right. Interior. Rear wall has widely-spaced studding, front wall re-
studded. Hall ceiling has deep narrow bridging beam; joists set flat,
chamfered in bay nearer stack, plain in adjoining bay. Timbers in left cell
largely concealed; evidence for diamond-mullioned window in front wall.
