House, now commercial premises and dentist's surgery. Late C18 or early C19;
altered. Red brick in Flemish bond; plain tile roof. 3 storeys, 4 bays, with
2-storey bay on left. Continuous mid-late C20 shop front. Left bay, on 1st
floor, has full-width window with margin glazing bars and flanking pilasters
with capitals supporting frieze, dentilled cornice and heavily-moulded
pediment. Main 4-bay range to right has sashes with glazing bars to 1st floor,
6-pane sashes above, all in reveals with brighter red brick jambs and flat
arches, and projecting sills. Platband to 2nd floor. Modillion eaves. Hipped
roof with central, cross-ridge stack. Stepped dentilled eaves to returns.
Interior: straight-flight stair up from 1st to 2nd floor has closed string,
turned balusters and columnar top newel.
