NY 52 SW LOWTHER HACKTHORPE

Former farmhouse and barn. Probably mid C18 with early C19 barn. Limestone
rubble walls with flush sandstone quoins, the house cement rendered. Graduated
greenslate roofs with roughcast chimney stacks. 2-storey, 2-bay house with
higher left single-bay bank barn. House has central C20 door in plain opening.
Casement windows with glazing bars in original painted stone surrounds. Barn
has upper segmental-arched cart entrance reached by sloping ramp, with flanking
slit vents. Left lower segmental-arched doorway is now blocked.
