Farmhouse. Early C18, with subsequent remodelling. Coursed rubble gritstone, with
more finely dressed work to south-west bay. Quoins, coped gables with moulded
kneelers, intermediate and gable end stacks of brick and stone. Slated roof with
stone slated eaves. 'L' plan house with gabled offshuts to rear. South east
elevation, irregular facade, with stacked former 3-light flush mullioned windows
to south west end bay, the ground floor opening now altered to house a glazing bar
sash. Blocked single light opening above doorway to second bay, with massive
quoined surround and lintel, below a shallow bracketed hood. C20 door with glazed
light. Third bay with a sash frame in a flush surround to first floor, above a
2-light flush mullioned window with casements to the north east, a second doorway
with massive surround and C20 half glazed door. Third bay with leaded window in
flush surround, above a sash frame in a flush surround. Plain stone framed opening
at floor level of fourth bay.
