- Public House
G.V. II
House, now public house. 1790s with later additions.
Hammer-dressed watershot stone with graduated stone slate
roof. 3-bay 3-storey double-depth plan with 1 bay added to
left and lean-to addition to rear. Symmetrical elevation,
the central door surround being dressed and having single
sash windows (replaced by C20 casement) with stone
surrounds on the floors above. Paired sashes (all replaced
by C20 casements) on each floor of bays 1 and 3. Eaves
gutter blocks. Rendered gable chimney stacks. The addition
has a door with square-cut surround and a window opening (2
of which are blocked) on each floor. 4 and 3-light recessed
