Former Infants School. 1901 by the London School Board architects as part
of the LCC Millbank Estate. Stock brick with red brick dressings and
slight stone dressings, tiled roof. Free "Queen Anne" evolving from the
Board school type established by Robson and Stevenson. 1 storey block on
shallow L plan. 7 windows wide to street, with slight asymmetry in
grouping. Entrance to south side. Broad, central gabled break with 3 tall
flush framed glazing bar sashes. Left wing has brick pilastered and gabled
frame to high set window above name plaque; right wing has similar feature
framing full length window and with, in addition, windows to left and
right. Fenestration in form of half dormers to rear range. Included for
group value, with the Millbahk Estate, only.
