GV II*

Terrace house. Early to mid C18, altered C19. Brown brick, slate roof.
4 storeys and basement plus added 2 storeyed attic. Ground floor
stuccoed; stucco architraved doorway to right. Ground floor windows
architraved with cornices; upper floors have revealed sash windows,
no glazing bars, under flat gauged arches. Stucco cornice over 3rd
floor. Cast iron balconettes to 1st floor. Plaque commemorates
residence of Sir Robert Walpole from 1741 to 1746 and II* on that
account.
