C18 originally 2 houses, part of same terrace as Nos 261 and 263. Brick with
parapet. Tiled mansard roof. 3 storeys and dormers, 4 windows in all. Bottom
2 storeys painted including band between 1st and 2nd floor. Sashes with glazing
bars 2nd floor, 1st floor modern windows, modern shop fronts. Arched entrance
to Wood's Buildings under No 265.

The King Edward VII Jewish Memorial Drinking Fountain forms a group with Nos 255
to 257 (odd).
