Barn at Spital
Almshouse

G.V. II

Hospice now barn. 1619, C19. Coursed limestone rubble, some red
brick and some stock brick. Pantile roof. North side with large
rectangular opening blocked with rubble and brick. Large
buttress to left and cartouche re-set, with date 1619 inscribed.
East end with quoins and beribboned shield re-set with illegibile
inscription on plaque below. South wall with blocked opening
with elliptical head. Included for group value only. Source:
