Towngate House Farm

Barn and stables. Early C18, late C18, altered mid C19 and C20.
Coursed limestone rubble, ashlar and red brick dressings.
Collyweston slate roof to stables, corrugated iron ro-of to barn.
L-plan. Single storey with loft, 6 bay front having to left
double planked doors, with to right 2 planked doors and 3 semi-
circular headed ventilator openings with brick dressings. The
barn, at right angles, is late C18, single storey and single bay
with wide basket archway to either side with ashlar key stones.
At each end are wide open roofed links one to the stables, the
other to a lower 2 storey block, with single planked openings to
each floor. Included for group value only.
