C18 facade. House faces straight down High Street. Southern or main elevation
red brick with stone quoins. Stone band links keystones of ground floor windows.
Steeply pitched slate roof with coped gable ends and end chimneys. 2 storeys (and
attic window in gable end). 3 windows, sashes with glazing bars in moulded boxed
frames. A large added recessed 2-storey wing of early C19 on west side. Cornice
on paired modillions continued on earlier part of house. 1 window, portico with
hood removed. Rear wing of 2 ½ storeys with C19 gabled dormers breaking through
eaves. (Only a remnant remains of the "good iron gates" described in previous list).
