Public house, C17 and later, containing cellar of C13. Of coursed rubble with
Collyweston stone slate roof and stone end stacks heightened in brick. 2 bays of
quadripartite vaulted cellar in wing to rear. Street front of main block and taller
cross-wing, 1½ storeys. Main block has 2 sash windows with glazing bars, door to
left. 2 2-light gabled casement dormers above. Gable end of cross-wing has
casement windows with glazing bars beneath timber lintels, 3-light to ground floor
and 2-light above. Wing to rear, parallel to main block. Outbuilding to rear has
blocked stone arch to north.
