Ravenshore Viaduct
5/265 II
Viaduct formerly carrying the Stubbins to Accrington branch of the East Lancashire Railway across the River Ogden. 1848. Coursed tooled rubble. 3 skew arches, impost bands to piers; parapet (destroyed in part) with coping and string course. The 'romantic' position of this bridge on a dramatic site led to its being described and illustrated in the Illustrated London News, September, 1848.
