Restaurant, late C18th. Brick with stone dressings, painted, with slate
roof. Double-pile plan with end chimneys. A symmetrical composition with
chamfered quoins and moulded cornice. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Windows sashed
with glazing bars, with plain reveals, stone sills, and lintels with false
voussoirs and keystones. The door, of 6 raised panels, has a fanlight with
semi-circular head and intersecting glazing bars, and is flanked by
attached Tuscan columns supporting an open pediment. Inside there is a
dogleg stair with open string, fluted rectangular newels, stick balusters,
and a ramped handrail.
