Farmhouse, dated 1839 at 1st floor but probably earlier. Watershot coursed
sandstone (whitewashed), stone slate roof with gable chimneys. Three-bay
plan. Two storeys, almost symmetrical; single-storey gabled porch with
plain-surround doorway; 2 stepped multiple-light windows at ground floor and 3
above, all with top-hung casements in the middle light: left, 3 lights at
ground floor and 5 lights above, above the porch and on each floor to the
right all triples with narrower side lights. Left of centre at 1st floor is a
recessed square dates tone inscribed A . (Barn continued at lower level to

right, with front outshut embracing house, not included in the item).
