Farmhouse, now house. Early C18, altered. Handmade brick, stone-coloured
tiled roof. Double-depth 2-bay plan with short outshut to rear of 2nd bay.
Two storeys, symmetrical, with gable chimneys; gabled single-storey porch
with round-headed outer opening, modern glazed inner door; 2 windows on
each floor, all 3-light sliding sashes, with 4 panes in each light, those
at ground floor segmental-headed. (Modern addition at left end in matching
style and materials not included in the item). Rear: main feature of
interest is stairlight, which is wooden cross-window with lead cames making
very small panes (similar to windows at Lane Ends House, Smithy Lane,
q.v.). Interior not inspected but believed to contain large chamfered
beams.
