Cottage. C17 or earlier, altered. Cruck-framed colour-washed roughcast on
brick or stone, with plinth, tiled roof with boarded eaves, brick chimney
at right gable. Two small bays. Single storey: small modern porch in the
centre, 2 windows to left and one to right, 2, 1 and 3 lights, all modern
casements. (Small flat-roofed extension at left end not included in the
item). Interior: full cruck truss of large scantling, with dorsals and
large curved windbraces to overlapped purlins; housepart in 2nd bay, 1st
bay partitioned, otherwise altered. Now very rare survival of type once
widespread in the area.
