SD 85 SE HORTON HORTON VILLAGE (west side)

House, late C18th with possible C17th remains. Slobbered rubble
with stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. The windows to bay one
have plain stone surrounds, that on the ground floor being of 2
lights with a square mullion. Those to bay 2 are of 3 lights with
square mullions: on the 1st floor with a plain stone surround, on
the ground floor with a double-chamfered surround. Bay 3 has a
sashed window with plain stone surround on the ground floor, and a
3-light window with square mullions and plain stone surround on the
1st floor. Bay 4 has 2 windows with plain stone surrounds on the
ground floor, the left-hand one sashed, the right-hand one fixed
with glazing bars. On the 1st floor is a 2-light window with
plain stone surround and square mullion. Door to right of bay one
has a chamfered surround with Tudor-arched head. Door to right of
bay 2 has plain stone surround. Door at far right in gable of
outshut has plain stone surround.
