House. C16, refronted early C19. Timber framed and rendered with plain tiled
roof. Probably a Wealden plan in origin. Two storeys on plinth with cornice
and parapet to hipped roof with large gablets and stacks to right and
projecting at end right. Regular fenestration of three 2 storey recesses
with four centred arched heads and drip moulds with 3 light mullioned windows
to left and right on each floor and 2 light to centre with door of 6 raised
and fielded panels and fanlight on ground floor, the 2 storeys separated
by lozenge shaped panels. Tile hung wings to rear. Interior; the northern
(end left) bay of the Wealden replaced by adjoining C19 building. Crown
post roof with smoke blackening. The rear wings are separately framed C16
blocks.
