3/293 Walls to Rose Garden at
Conkwell Grange

GV II


Walls to rose garden, probably c1907 and by Sir E.G. Dawber, rubble
stone with stone slate coping. Walls enclose three sides of garden
and back wall is embellished with centre semi-circular-plan recess
with blank roundel, stepped up parapet and ball. Each side, a
large fully circular opening with parapet over and ball-finial, the
one to right open, the one to left blank. At south end of west
wall an arched gateway with wrought iron gate.
