C18. Tall narrow building with 1 gable and 3 storeys. On 1st floor 1
sash window in reveals with glazing bars. Venetian window on 2nd floor
with semi-circular centre light and keystone. Central light sash, side
lights blocked. Ground floor has Cl9 shop front, an angular wooden bay
of slight projection with wooden fascia and dentilled cornice, flat lead-covered
roof. Bay carried on wooden brackets. Plain strings at 1st and 2nd floor
levels, square-headed doorway to right with architrave surround.
All listed buildings in The Shambles form a group with King's Arms Hotel,
Nos 2, 5 and 6 Coppice Hill, Nos 27 to 29 (consec) Silver Street and No
2 Kingston Road.
