House. Late C17-early C18. Brick with flint panels, tiled roof.
Two storeys, attic and cellar, 7 bays. Central pair of doors
within Tuscan portico. Twelve-paned sash windows, the centre
windows closer spaced. Gauged brick lintels. Timber coved
eaves. Roof hipped with gable stacks. Early C20 brick loggia
added to south gable. Lean-to extension to left. Datestone
reset above loggia reading 1692 W V.
Interior has wide entrance hall with bolection panelling and
panelled doors to dining room on left containing C18 panelling, and
parlour on right, also with C18 panelling. Doors open from
parlour to rear drawing room Stair in rear hall, late C17 with
shallow steps and balusters to handrail, the balusters of different
form on upper flight. First floor has C17 panelling and C18
corniced doorhead with pulvinus at head of stair.
