Church. 1830. Samuel Rowland. Stone and stucco, slate
hipped roof. Built in form of classical temple. 3 x 6 bays
with rectangular chancel apse. Hexastyle Ionic portico
with unfluted columns. Central window with battered
architrave, frieze and cornice flanked by entrances in
battered eared architraves with paired 3-panel doors, and
panels over. Returns have sill bands, top entablature and
parapet. End bays emphasised by flat pilasters with frieze
and cornices; small paned fixed casements. Apse has sill
band, angle pilasters and entablature and parapet.
Tripartite window with angle colonnetes, entablature and
pediment. Flanking porches with battered eared architraves
to return entrances. Interior: U-shaped gallery on iron
columns with Ionic entablature and panelled balcony.
Chancel apse has angle pilasters and entablature. East
window has form of distyle-in-antis Ionic colonnade; stained
glass window of early C20. Royal arms on west wall dated
1827. C20 glazed partitions to offices under gallery.
