Probably 2 houses, now hotel. Early/mid C18 and late C18, possibly with earlier
origins. Coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels; Welsh-slate roofs with
brick stacks. 3-unit and 2-unit plans. 2 storeys plus attic, part raised to 3
storeys. Taller 3-unit range to right has a 3-window front, mostly with 16-pane
sashes, but bay one has 2 tripartite sashes and bay 3 has one at ground floor;
entrance, to left of centre, has been altered C20 and there is an inserted
window to right of it. Shallow-pitched roof has projecting boxed eaves and has
stacks to both gables and to left of centre. Earlier 2-window range has a
symmetrical front with a central 6-panel door, 16-pane sashes at ground floor,
and 12-pane sashes above; steep-pitched roof has 2 gabled roof dormers and a
stack to left. Right end wall of taller section shows an earlier gable line.
Interior: stop-chamfered joists; moulded beam at rear.
