SU 07 SE WINTERBOURNE MONKTON -
5/162 Little Thatch
II
Cottage. C18. Sarsen boulders, thatched roof. Single storey and
attic. Two-cell plan with living space and smaller service room.
Off-centre boarded door wth glazed panel. Leaded casement windows
with timber lintels. One flush half-dormer. C18 brick gable stack
to living room on right, and roof half-hipped left. Twentieth
century flat roof extension on right, extending to rear. The
typical vernacular cottage of the area and period, unaffected by
the C20 extension.
