GV II

Two houses, now single dwelling. Late C17 with rear range
added in C19; combined, converted and refenestrated in mid
C20. Timber-framed, rendered and colourwashed, with central
brick stack to plain tile roof. Two parallel ranges.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey 4-window front. Central C20 door behind C20
gabled porch. One 4-light C20 bow window right and left; to
extreme left a C20 garage door. First floor with 4 casements,
2 of which are C19 three-light metal windows.
INTERIOR: heavy scantling timber-frame, with jowled principal
studs and tension and arched corner braces. Passageway to
first floor created on west side. East wall with one blocked
late C17 lattice window. Roof of collars and one tier of butt
purlins. Pargetting on north gable relates to earlier house on
that side now demolished.
