Now also includes 2 former separate cottages (Nos 2 and 3). The whole however
of C16/C17 but refaced C18/C19. 2 storeys stuccoed stone rubble and timber
frame front to main part (original No 1) with steep gable end pantile roof.
Irregular fenestration with 3 light Yorkshire casements to left hand both floors
and small central double window in Doric pilaster surround, and passage entry
to right hand with early C19 flush framed glazing bar sash window over. Door
of 6 fielded panels in passage, architrave case. Timber framing visible to
rear above passageway. Stone rubble rear wing with brick gable. Inside the
lobby has C17 panelling and there are some exposed though. painted beams to
ground floor front room. The 2 cottages forming north end of front probably
created late C18/early C19 stucco faced with steep gable end slate roof, rear
wall of stone rubble. One window each, large recessed early C19 thin glazing .
bar sashes 1st floor, 2 light Yorkshire casements ground floor. Plain door
and one of 4 moulded panels.

No 1 forms a group with No 15 Sanside.
