House: C17: stone with painted rough render, tiled roof. 2-room
with central porch, gabled frontage. 2-storey with attics, but
right-hand rooms set higher than left, with cellar under. Gable
chimney to left, lateral chimney to right. Projecting gabled
central porch, first floor room partly in roof. Cambered head to
front door, ovolo-moulded surround: 2-light wooden casement window
above, plain chamfer, hoodmould. To left 3-light wooden casement
windows ground and first floors, with hoodmoulds, upper original
with plain chamfer; 2-light in gable above. On right C19, 3-
light window ground floor, 2-light above and small, original 2-
light high up in gable. Eaves on right higher than on left, roof
slope on front changing over left gable.
Interior: entrance from porch to right-hand room, steps down to
left. Spiral stairs by both chimneys, right-hand ones cause bulge
in rear wall. Upper section left-hand stairs has solid timber
treads. Originally no communication between rooms on both upper
floors. blouse at right-angles to road.
